About the Company

Due to ongoing growth and the need to strengthen the receivables function, the business is seeking to appoint a Credit Control Specialist to manage debtor accounts and support cash collection performance.

About the Job

Reporting to the Credit Manager, you will be responsible for managing a defined section of the sales ledger and executing the following duties:

  • Manage and oversee a designated portion of the debtor ledger across one or more entities
  • Monitor customer accounts to ensure timely payment of invoices
  • Chase overdue debts via phone, email, and written correspondence
  • Liaise with sales and internal departments to resolve account queries and disputes
  • Monitor and review customer credit limits
  • Maintain accurate and tidy customer ledger records
  • Assist with month-end credit control processes and reporting
  • Update weekly debtor and aged debt reports
  • Support the implementation of improvements within credit control processes and systems

Your Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience within a Credit Control or Accounts Receivable function
  • Proven experience managing debtor ledgers and debt collection activity
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills with a professional telephone manner
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Confident in dealing with customers and internal stakeholders

Desirable:

  • Experience with intercompany or multi-entity ledgers
  • Experience supporting process improvements within credit control
