About the Job
Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Accurately receipt and allocate payments daily to the ledger
- Process month-end statements
- Data entry onto the finance system, maintaining customer rates and additional charges in preparation for weekly accounts
- Proactively manage the debtor’s ledger, ensuring debts are collected within agreed credit terms
- Monitor outstanding debts via telephone, email and letter
- Develop and maintain strong customer and supplier relationships
- Assist with Accounts Payable invoice and payment processes
- Posting and allocating payments to SAGE accounts
- Assist with reconciliations, month-end processes and financial reports
- Process customer payments on receipt and ensure that they are allocated correctly and in full
- Weekly reporting to the Credit Control Manager
Experience, Skills and Attributes
- 2+ years’ experience in a similar role
- Detailed working knowledge of Microsoft Navision or equivalent
- Proven experience in managing multi-currency sales ledgers
- Proven record of delivering effective control over customer accounts, with minimal supervision, whilst adhering to strict deadlines
