We are working on behalf of our client who is recruiting for a Credit Controller join a team in a local reputable company based in Cookstown. Reporting to the Credit Control Manager you will be responsible for and assisting with the successful execution of the Credit Control Function

About the Job

Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  •  Accurately receipt and allocate payments daily to the ledger
  •  Process month-end statements
  •  Data entry onto the finance system, maintaining customer rates and additional charges in preparation for weekly accounts
  •  Proactively manage the debtor’s ledger, ensuring debts are collected within agreed credit terms
  •  Monitor outstanding debts via telephone, email and letter
  •  Develop and maintain strong customer and supplier relationships
  •  Assist with Accounts Payable invoice and payment processes
  •  Posting and allocating payments to SAGE accounts
  •  Assist with reconciliations, month-end processes and financial reports
  • Process customer payments on receipt and ensure that they are allocated correctly and in full
  • Weekly reporting to the Credit Control Manager

Experience, Skills and Attributes

  • 2+ years’ experience in a similar role
  • Detailed working knowledge of Microsoft Navision or equivalent
  • Proven experience in managing multi-currency sales ledgers
  •  Proven record of delivering effective control over customer accounts, with minimal supervision, whilst adhering to strict deadlines
