We are working on behalf of our client who is recruiting for an experienced Credit Controller looking for the next step in their career to join a thriving Credit Control Team as a Team Leader . Reporting to the Credit Control Manager you will be responsible for assisting with the day to day duties of running and directing a busy credit control team”.

About the Job

The Credit Control Team Lead will be responsible for and assisting with the following duties…

  • Managing a team of credit controllers
  • Managing the cash collections process
  • Producing credit reports for Credit Control Manager
  • Point of escalation for customer/team queries
  • Providing training and advice as and when required
  • Conducting one-to-ones/ Debt review meetings
  • Working closely with other departments especially Sales and Customer service
  • Compile and maintain the Bad Debt Provision
  • Authorising credit notes prior to billing
  • Posting of BACs, cheque & card payments to the system
  • Setting and reviewing credit limits for new/existing customer accounts
  • Review of E-Commerce payments and dealing with Queries.

Experience, Skills and Attributes

  • 3 years + experience within a Credit Control department
  • Previous experience in a credit control or senior credit control position
  • Experience of dealing with a large customer base
  • The ability to work in a team as well as individually
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills .
  • Good attention to detail
  • The ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
  • Previous working knowledge of SAP (Desirable)
