They are seeking a Credit Control Manager to take ownership of the credit function for a designated region within the business. This is a senior role managing a high-volume, high-value ledger in a commercially focused and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Full responsibility for the regional credit function
  • Credit assessment and ongoing review of new and existing customer accounts in line with company policy
  • Management of credit limits, trade credit, asset security and credit insurance
  • Oversight of accounts receivable, collections strategy and bad debt reporting
  • Management of the month-end AR close, including batch processing and reporting
  • Processing and oversight of direct debits and daily cash allocation
  • Ensuring compliance with AML, VAT and relevant regulatory requirements
  • Production of regular reports for senior management and attendance at credit review meetings
  • Ongoing monitoring of customer financial performance and security held
  • Line management, coaching and development of direct reports

Qualifications / Experience:

  • 3rd level qualification in Business, Accounting or related discipline
  • 3–5+ years’ experience in a similar credit management role within a high-volume environment
  • Strong experience in credit risk assessment and financial statement analysis
  • Knowledge of asset security (guarantees, credit insurance, fixed & floating charges)
  • Proven ability to reduce debtor days while supporting commercial objectives
  • Strong IT skills (Microsoft Office & Excel essential; ERP experience advantageous)
  • A professional credit qualification is desirable
  • Strong commercial awareness with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Confident, self-motivated and capable of operating in a busy environment
