About the Job

The Credit Control manager will play an integral role within the accounts function, the responsibilities for the role will include

• Support the implementation of new and existing credit processes and procedures across the business.
• Assist in utilising the ERP system to streamline day-to-day processes and enhance efficiency.
• Assess the creditworthiness of potential new and existing customers, determining appropriate credit limits and terms.
• Manage and support the development of a team of credit controllers and account managers.
• Overseeing responsibility of the credit control team’s portfolio of debtor accounts, ensuring adherence to company processes, credit and payment terms.
• Setting and monitoring KPI’s to ensure % of aged debt is managed and monthly cash flows are met.
• Work closely with the sales team and other commercial departments to ensure smooth order processing and minimise credit risk.
• Oversee the company query management programme to ensure timely resolution of relevant customer complaints and disputes within the credit control team.
• Present aged debtor reports, cash flow forecasting, and other relevant reports to the Group Finance Team and key stakeholders within the business.

Experience, Skills and Attributes

• A minimum of 3 years’ credit management experience, at a senior management level in a FMCG B2B company.
• Demonstrable commercial experience.
• Graduate with a background in Finance / Credit / Accounting.
• CICM membership.
• Highly numerate, with strong financial analysis ability, advanced Excel and an understanding of managing ERP requirements.
• Proven experience of leading and developing a team
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the confidence to influence key internal and external stakeholders.
