Our client specialise in delivering property management solutions aimed at enhancing the value of the assets under their care.
Responsibilities:
- Internal Financial Management: Oversee the internal financial management of the organization, including month-end accounts, payroll processing, and accounts payable. Implement and maintain procedures and controls related to financial accounts.
- Supervision: Manage and supervise a team of two staff members responsible for various financial tasks. Provide guidance, training, and support to ensure the team’s efficiency and effectiveness.
- Cash Flow Management: Monitor and manage the organization’s cash flow, ensuring liquidity and financial stability. Implement strategies to optimize cash management.
- Property Financial Oversight: Oversee financial aspects related to a portfolio of residential properties. Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting for these properties.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop and maintain budgets for property operations, including forecasting income and expenses.
- Rent and Lease Management: Oversee rent collection, lease renewals, and adjustments. Ensure lease terms are accurately reflected in financial records.
- Expense Management: Monitor property expenses such as utilities, maintenance, repairs, and property taxes. Identify opportunities for cost savings.
- Financial Analysis: Analyze property performance, including occupancy rates, revenue trends, and expense variances. Provide insights to stakeholders.
- Compliance and Taxation: Ensure compliance with financial regulations, lease agreements, and tax requirements. Coordinate with external auditors and tax professionals as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and CPA Qualification.
- Fluency in YARDI and Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and external stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
