About the company
A leading business based in the Strabane area is seeking to appoint a Company Accountant to oversee the day-to-day management of their finance function. This is a highly varied role offering exposure to all areas of this highly diverse and evolving business, and would suit an ambitious Qualified Accountant from a background in practice or industry, or equally a Qualified-by-experience accountant with experience in a similar role.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparation of management accounts
- Preparation and submission of statutory returns
- Oversee a small finance team
- Cashflow management
- Liaise with key external stakeholders
- Implementing process improvements where required
- Other ad-hoc duties as required
- Requirements:
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) or QBE with experience in a similar role
- Excellent IT skills (including Sage and MS Excel)
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work to tight deadlines
