Main areas of responsibility:

Commercial and Strategic Leadership:

  • Provide direct support to the General Manager, Head of Finance, and Senior Management Teams, leading key initiatives, projects, process enhancements, and positive organizational changes.
  • Propel the P&L reviews and performance modelling, identifying avenues for growth, cost efficiency, and commercial gains while fostering business acumen.
  • Proactively analyze, investigate, escalate, and elucidate significant trends and shifts, offering valuable insights and process refinements.
  • Ensure transparent visibility into financial and commercial consequences of decisions, aiding in achieving sales, margin, and pricing targets.
  • Prepare analyses of competitors, industries, and economic landscapes.

Financial Planning and Analysis:

  • Contribute to Financial Planning and Analysis processes for the company.
  • Foster leadership that centres on value analysis and margin enhancement.
  • Handle budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Manage long-term planning, preparing 3- and 5-year projections, collaborating with management, and crafting strategic review materials for parent company presentations.
  • Develop business cases supporting new investments, strategic directions, and other critical decisions.
  • Employ business intelligence tools for insightful performance evaluations.
  • Support Business Heads by creating monthly financial forecasts, comprehensive reporting packages, and insightful commentary, analysis, and actionable recommendations.

Business Partnering:

  • Act as a true business partner to non-finance teams including Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Support Functions, identifying critical concerns and fostering collaboration.
  • Construct financial and business models for projects.
  • Instill a culture of accountability to attain high-quality organizational outcomes.
  • Build and oversee a departmental team to execute functional tasks and process enhancements.

ERP Implementation:

  • Collaborate closely with finance and technical teams to assess the impact of system changes on workflows, data, and reporting.

  • Exhibit strong problem-solving and analytical prowess, efficiently collecting, organizing, and interpreting substantial data.

  • Effectively communicate complex, technical subjects to audiences of varying backgrounds, crafting presentations that convey financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.

Experience/Education:

  • Certified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
  • Minimum of 3 years relevant analytical experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and Power BI (desirable but not obligatory).
  • Profound analytical skills, including expertise in BI and reporting tools.
  • Finance experience involving ERP system implementation is advantageous though not compulsory.
