ABOUT THE JOB

The role suits someone who enjoys balancing hands-on audit work with strategic input and people leadership in a supportive, high-performance environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of audit clients across a range of industries
  • Lead the planning, execution, and completion of audit assignments in line with internal and external standards
  • Act as the main point of contact for clients, providing timely and practical advice
  • Oversee the work of junior team members, providing technical guidance and on-the-job coaching
  • Review audit files and ensure the delivery of high-quality, insightful reports
  • Support team resourcing, workflow planning, and delivery to deadlines
  • Contribute to the firm’s technical knowledge base and support internal training
  • Play a part in new business initiatives and contribute to proposals and client pitches
  • Champion a culture of integrity, quality, and collaboration across your team

Your Skills & Experience

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent)
  • Several years’ experience in audit within a professional services environment
  • Strong understanding of auditing and financial reporting standards (IFRS/FRS)
  • Previous experience managing client relationships and leading audit teams
  • High attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality outcomes
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure, managing competing deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Passion for developing others, with experience mentoring or training junior staff
  • Tech-savvy, with experience using audit/accounting software and a strong grasp of Excel
  • Commercial awareness and a solutions-driven mindset
