About the Job

Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Assistant Accountant will be responsible for assisting with and completing the following duties

Key responsibilities

• Maintaining and managing purchase ledgers
• Matching invoices to POs and converting to accounting software
• Preparing weekly payment runs for approval
• Processing weekly payment runs for payment
• Liaising with suppliers on queried accounts
• Supplier account reconciliations
• Bank reconciliations
• Small experience with sales ledger
• Support month-end accounts preparation – mainly around supplier accruals
• Ad-Hoc reports

Previous experience

• Previous experience working in a busy office environment
• Hold an Accounts Technician Qualification or Trainee/ Part Qualified Accountant (ACCA or CIMA)
