About the job:

• Support the Finance Manager with accounting and financial control tasks
• Prepare and review monthly management accounts, from the trial balance to the financial statements.
• Handle journals, maintain the Chart of Accounts, and ensure timely, accurate reporting.
• Complete balance sheet reconciliations, including stock, bank, intercompany, fixed assets, accruals, and prepayments.
• Analyse monthly results against the budget
• Review VAT and Corporation Tax workings before submission to the relevant authorities.
• Manage weekly and monthly cash flow reporting and forecasting.
• Support the year-end audit, working with external auditors and preparing documentation.

Qualifications:

• Part-qualified CIMA, ACCA, or ACA with 2+ years’ accounting experience
• Degree educated (minimum 2:1)
• Strong technical accounting knowledge
• Advanced Excel proficiency
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Comfortable liaising with non-finance stakeholders
• High attention to detail
