The job
Accounting technician position joining an established team. Monday – Thursday 9 am – 5 pm with 4 pm Friday finish.
- Preparation of year-end and management accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
- Preparation of tax computations and returns for individuals and companies
- Ability to process weekly, fortnightly, 4 weekly and monthly payrolls for a portfolio of clients, including new start/ leaver procedures, SSP, SMP and pension auto-enrolment when required
- Using client’s SAGE 50/ Xero/ Quickbooks accounting software to prepare year-end and management accounts
- VAT returns via MTD for VAT, including EC sales and Intrastat accounts
- Ensuring client deadlines and expectations are met
- Answering the telephone where necessary
- Daily document filing and postage
Your skills and experience
- ATI, IATI, QBE or PQ
- Experience in a similar role
