About the Job

Reporting to the company accountant this candidate will be responsible for assisting with and completing the following duties…

  • Assisting with the Preparation of Monthly Management Accounts Pack
  • Recording supplier invoices and credit notes daily on Sage 50 accounting system.
  • Assisting in preparation of BACS payment runs and allocating non BACS payments onto Sage.
  • Reconciliation of monthly supplier statements, with the ability to investigate and resolve any discrepancies
  • Liaise with Suppliers in relation to queries and missing invoices.
  • Ensure supplier invoices and credit notes have the correct job code and general ledger code
  • Ensure prompt filing of supplier invoices and maintain adequate filing systems.
  • Ensure adherence to month-end deadlines
  • Undertake any other duties which may be required by management.
  • Supporting other areas within the finance department when required

Your skills & experience 

  • Experience of finance function in a business with demonstrated ability for accuracy and speed.
  • Currently studying towards ACCA or CIMA Qualification
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Evidence of analytical, problem solving and decision making skills.
  • Experience in Sage Accounts 50 is advantageous
