A leader in their specialised field, and with increased demand for their products and services has led to rapid expansion of a local company and turned them into a globally recognised brand. As a result of this they have a need to add an Assistant Accountant to their busy finance team.
About the Job
Reporting to the Company Accountant the Assistant Accountant will be responsible for assisting with and completing the following duties
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with the preparation of monthly management and statutory accounts
- Cash management and reporting
- Bank and card reconciliations
- Preparation and posting of general ledger journals
- Responsible for raising sales invoices and payments
- Responsible for supplier statement reconciliation
- Carrying out Balance sheet/control account reconciliations.
- Preparation and submission of VAT
- HMRC compliance and submissions
Previous experience
- Previous experience working in a busy finance department
- Part Qualified studying towards professional qualification (ACCA or CIMA)
