The Assistant Accountant will play an integral role within the accounts function, you’ll be responsible for completing and assisting with…
- Assisting in the preparation of quarterly management accounts & annual audits liaising with external auditors
- Preparation of monthly job costs
- Management of CIS, PAYE, Bank Reconciliations and VAT functions
- Review nominal codes & postings – ensuring capital items are on Balance Sheet.
- Posting and reviewing monthly and quarterly journals
- Maintaining Fixed Asset Ledger
- Assisting with accounts payable & receivable when required
- Creating staff payrolls and approving client or supplier payments
- Ensuring compliance in all areas, such as VAT, Company Vehicles, Fuel, Benefits in Kind
Experience, Skills and Attributes
- Qualified accountant (ACCA / CIMA / IATI) (or qualified by experience) with at least 1 year relevant experience
- Strong excel skills
- A good team player with a strong professional work ethic.
- Experience of Sage 200 would be preferable but not essential.
- ROI experience is desirable but not essential
