This company which have experienced rapid growth over the past number of years have ambitious plans for the future and therefore this position is a great opportunity for an experienced Accounts Payable Professional to join a growing organisation.

Account The Job

Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • The supervision of staff in Accounts Payable
  • Managing the closure of Accounts Payable month end to a timely deadline each month
  • Management of payment runs – EFT, Cheque and online payments. Ensuring invoices are cleared for payment runs and preparing payment runs along with online banking payments
  • Liaising and dealing with creditors regarding payments and queries
  • Review and maintenance of Goods Received Note (GRN) listing
  • Processing supplier invoices/credit notes for different entities and divisions
  • Ensure governance around supplier statement reconciliations and accuracy of purchase ledger
  • Governance around new suppliers and supplier maintenance to include payment controls.
  • Management of staffing levels and workload within the Accounts Payable team
  • Ensure appropriate documentation is maintained for systems and processes with ongoing review to maintain best-in-class
  • Support the annual audit process
  • Provide support to the Financial Controller as required

Experience, Skills and Attributes

  •  An understanding of accounts payable processes and procedures
  • Direct experience of leading an Accounts payable team (Desirable)
  • Able to manage a high-volume workload
  • High level of expertise in the use of Microsoft packages including Excel and Word
  • Able to manage a high-volume workload
  • Ability to work to strict deadlines and changing priorities
  • Strong communication skills both oral and written
  • Good organisational and time management skills
  • Competent in Microsoft Office
