Resolve any non-compliant invoices.
Liaise with commercial department to get invoices approved.
Prepare reconciliations with supplier statements.
Assist with the preparation of bank reconciliations for various entities.

A growing company which operates throughout Northern Ireland has recently completed an acquisition meaning they are looking to increase the size of their team due to increased workload. This company operates throughout various sectors and has a thriving finance department, this is an additional hire due to increased demand on their finance department.

About the Job

Reporting to the company accountant they are looking for a candidate to assist in the following duties…

Accounts Payable: 

  • Ensuring that all invoices received are processed in a timely manner and accurately.
  • Ensure PO’s are correctly receipted and matched with invoices.
  • Ensure that all invoices are processed promptly and accurately
  • Resolve any non-compliant invoices.
  • Liaise with commercial department to get invoices approved.
  • Prepare reconciliations with supplier statements.
  • Assist with the preparation of bank reconciliations for various entities.
  • Prepare UK and ROI Vat returns.
  • Preparing weekly payment runs for accounts payable. .

Your skills & experience 

  • Experience in a busy computerised Finance function
  • Prior experience using a P2P system
  • Experience with Sage 50
  • Experience in the construction industry (desirable)
  • Experience with Microsoft office products and google sheets (desirable)
  • Highly motivated and be able to work on their own initiative in a high-pressure environment.
