Accounts/Audit Manager – Belfast – Up to £50,000

HireIQ is delighted to be working with a highly reputable, forward-thinking practice local to Belfast as they seek to appoint an Accounts/Audit manager to join their established finance team .

About the Job:

Based in the Accounts and Audit Department you will have responsibility for the following tasks:

• Managing your own interesting and varied portfolio of clients to include:
  • Accounting and Audit work across a wide variety of industry sectors
  • Regular communication with clients
  • Assisting with the development of client relationships
  • Managing associated administration tasks, work in progress and billing responsibilities for your client portfolio

• Managing a number of staff to include:
  • Work planning for these staff
  • Monitoring and supervising staff undertaking Accounts and Audit
  • Undertaking File Review and Feedback on files
  • Assisting in training of staff as required
  • Mentoring staff and trainees as appropriate

• Accounts and Audit Process 
  • Contributing to the development of Accounts and Audit processes in line with best practice and CPD changes.
  • Liaising with other in-house departments as appropriate for example Tax and Payroll

Your experience:

• Be a Chartered Accountant / ACA / ACCA / ICAS qualified accountant (or international equivalent) or have equivalent work experience in Audit
• Experience of IFRS and/or UK GAAP and international standards on auditing;
• Strong practice accountancy experience across accounts and audit
• Strong project management skills and experience managing an audit from planning to completion
