“A fantastic opportunity for an accounts assistant to join a large construction company based at their beautiful head quarters in Mallusk.”

Job Purpose

To support the future growth and scaling of this large construction business, we are looking for an  Accounts Assistant. The Accounts Assistant will be responsible for accounts receivable, accounts payable, Invoice processing and to provide accountancy support to the finance management team to help to secure future stability, growth and profitability of the Organisation.

Key Accountabilities

  • Experience in accounts receivable and accounts payable process
  • Review and analysis of production information
  • Assisting with cost accounting and maintenance of production order handling and inventory systems
  • Assistance with management of cash flow and accounting transactions including the reconciliation of bank accounts and cash books
  • Timely submission of all statutory returns
  • Experience of working with RCT/CIS subcontractor’s tax (Ideally)
  • Handling bank lodgements
  • Computer literate in the use of MS Office, Excel and Word
  • Administration queries and any ad-hoc duties required
  • Compliance with financial policies and regulations

Experience

  • A minimum of 2 years’ relevant accounting experience in an accounts role
  • 2+ years’ experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes

Skills/Knowledge

  • Excellent organisational, planning and time management skills
  • High levels of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to use initiative, being proactive in seeking to improve systems and processes
  • Capacity to adapt and be flexible in a fast-paced, challenging, and unpredictable environment
  • Excellent IT Literacy (MS Excel, PPT, Word) with spreadsheet and database skills
  • Proficiency in a range of accounting software
