About the potential next-step

Purpose of Role
The Accounts Administrator will be responsible for delivering on all elements of the Accounts Receivable function and joint responsibility for Accounts Payable as well as the processing of weekly wages and employee expenses.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities

Daily input of supplier invoices to Accounting Software and act as point of contact on all supplier related queries.

  • Input and processing of weekly payrolls using payroll software
  • Analyse weekly timesheet information.
  • Responsible for processing monthly Employee Expense Claims, highlighting and resolving any anomalies.
  • Review supplier accounts bi-weekly with Purchasing manager to ensure they are processed efficiently and moved for approval or challenged as appropriate.
  • Prepare and submit sales invoices to clients in a timely manner and manage the cash collection process.
  • Maintain the aged debtors and creditor reports.
  • Prepare supplier reconciliations for the main supplier accounts and any who require a particular focus.
  • Preparation of weekly and monthly bank reconciliations

The Candidate

  • Experience of processing weekly payroll
  • 3+ years experience in a busy accounts role
  • Must be an excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and strong numeracy skills
  • Self-starter with good judgment when working under pressure.
  • Desire to learn and develop in the role.
  • Computer literate with advanced knowledge of Excel
