Job Overview

This role is key to the smooth running of the business and involves financial administration, HR support, and general office management. Reporting to senior management, the successful candidate will be responsible for a broad range of duties across accounts and administration.

Duties

The Office / Accounts Administrator will be responsible for:

  • Issuing weekly sales invoices
  • Managing purchase ledger administration, including collation, checking, and uploading of documents
  • Reconciling supplier and customer statements on a monthly basis
  • Monitoring the accounts email inbox and responding/escalating as appropriate
  • Collating staff hours for payroll submission; monitoring absence, holidays, and leave records
  • Organising and arranging staff training as required
  • Supporting HR and Health & Safety administration
  • Maintaining and updating FSC and Q-Mark materials, including audits
  • Monitoring the sales inbox and uploading tenders to the system
  • Handling incoming calls and directing them appropriately
  • Completing TSS (Trader Support Service) administration for haulage and dispatch dockets
  • Providing general office administration support and ad hoc duties as required

Experience, Skills and Attributes

  • GCSE English and Maths (Grade A–C) or equivalent, or minimum 2 years’ relevant experience
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and able to use initiative
  • Flexible and willing to work additional hours when required
  • Collaborative team player with a positive attitude
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment (desirable)
  • Experience using accounts software/packages
  • Strong customer service skills
