A renowned public sector organisation are seeking to add an experienced Accounting Technician to the team on a permanent basis. This is a hybrid role with the successful candidate based in the office two days a week and comes with a wide range of other benefits.
About the Job
Working within an established team the successful candidate will be assisting the finance manager and auditors with the preparation of year-end audit files, accounts and audit detailed testing. Flexible start/finish times Monday to Friday 8/9 am – 4/5 pm.
Key Responsibilities
- Completing month-end processes to a tight deadline.
- Preparing or assisting with the preparation of analysis of figures as required by other departments.
- Assist with the preparation of year-end audit files, financial statements and the annual budgeting process.
- Completing balance sheet reconciliations.
- Journal Postings
- Processing purchase orders/invoices
Previous experience
- Qualified Accounting Technician or PQ
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Experience with Microsoft Excel.
- Driven to succeed in all aspects of work.
