About the company

This is a key role for the business, supporting both operational and commercial functions while overseeing financial reporting, forecasting, and process improvement.

The successful candidate will be reporting to the Finance Manager and get exposure to project reviews, forecasting, and working closely with commercial teams to understand cost drivers.

Key responsibilities include:

• Prepare accurate and timely monthly management accounts, including detailed commentary and KPIs
• Lead balance sheet reconciliations, month-end close, and audit support
• Deliver ongoing financial forecasts, budgets, and variance analysis
• Build strong relationships with commercial teams to review project performance against budget
• Oversee working capital management, including debtor/WIP tracking and escalation
• Manage VAT, PAYE/PRSI returns, and oversee intercompany reconciliations
• Drive process improvements to enhance reporting and operational efficiency
• Lead cash flow forecasting and ensure robust bank and creditor reconciliations

Requirements

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
• 1–3 years PQE in a similar industry role preferred
• Strong technical background with experience in management accounting, forecasting, and audit prep
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and accounting system
• Commercially aware, energetic, and solutions-focused
