Accountant – Belfast –  £45,000 pro rata (3 days Part Time)

About the job

This will suit a qualified Accountant who can assist with the preparation of management accounts, year-end accounts and balance sheet reconciliations in addition to being involved in significant system and process work.

Duties will include:

• Support year-end accounts preparation (including consolidation entries, restricted fund accounting, and aiding local treasurers)
• Review and finalise bank and control account reconciliations
• Prepare monthly management accounts, including budget journal postings as needed
• Aid in processing returns templates to the accounting system
• Assist with regulatory submissions
• Support audit processes and liaise with external auditors
• Assist with Pension Scheme accounts
• Aid staff and volunteers in meeting finance team deadlines
• Perform other requested duties as necessary.

Your skills and experience

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
• Experience of working in a busy finance setting
• Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite is necessary, in particular Microsoft Excel.
• Strong IT and analytical skills • Ability to manage a complex workload
