The Opportunity

Due to continued growth and expansion within the Audit & Assurance division, the firm is seeking a highly skilled and commercially minded Director to lead a significant client portfolio, oversee departmental performance, and contribute to strategic business initiatives.

You will play a key role in business development, team leadership, and quality assurance, helping shape the future of the firm’s audit practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a substantial and varied client portfolio, ensuring the highest quality of service delivery.
  • Drive business development initiatives, including cross-selling opportunities and managing tender processes for new clients.
  • Provide strong technical oversight to ensure audits are delivered in line with professional standards, budgets, and deadlines.
  • Oversee, mentor, and coach a team of professionals to support their technical, commercial, and personal development.
  • Manage departmental budgets, KPIs, and performance objectives.
  • Play an active role in strategic planning, contributing to firmwide initiatives and long-term growth.

About You:

  • ACA/ACCA qualified, with extensive experience at a senior level within a Top 20 accountancy practice.
  • Proven ability to lead teams while managing multiple assignments across a diverse client base.
  • Strong commercial acumen and client relationship management skills.
  • Excellent technical knowledge of audit and assurance standards.
  • Skilled communicator with strong leadership and people management abilities.
  • Ambitious, strategic thinker with the drive to contribute to the continued growth of the firm.
