Job Overview:
A leading general contracting company is seeking a skilled and ambitious Tax & Compliance Manager. The role involves overseeing all tax-related matters for operations in Ireland, the UK, and across Europe.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage tax compliance and reporting for the group.
  • Develop and implement tax strategies to optimise the company’s tax position.
  • Ensure compliance with local, national, and international tax regulations.
  • Prepare and review tax returns and documents.
  • Liaise with tax authorities and external auditors to resolve tax issues.
  • Advise senior management on tax matters and support other departments.
  • Monitor tax legislation changes and assess their impact.
  • Conduct tax research and analysis to inform business decisions.
  • Manage global mobility tax compliance, including planning for employees on international assignments.
  • Coordinate with HR and payroll to ensure accurate reporting for globally mobile staff.

Compliance Management:

  • Develop and implement compliance policies.
  • Conduct compliance audits and risk assessments.
  • Provide employee training on compliance matters.
  • Liaise with regulatory authorities and ensure timely reporting.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s or professional tax qualification preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years of tax experience (experience in construction is an advantage).
  • Strong knowledge of European tax laws.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines independently.
  • Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office.
